Audi Q9: The £100,000 Full-Size Luxury SUV Arrives in the UK

Audi has officially unveiled its largest SUV to date, the Audi Q9, which is set to become the marque’s dramatic new flagship. Even bigger than the third-generation Q7 announced earlier this year, the Q9 is described by Audi as its first full-size luxury SUV. The vehicle will go on sale in the UK towards the back end of the year, with prices starting from £100,000. Orders are expected to open from August 2026, marking a significant milestone for the brand as it enters the ultra-premium SUV segment.

The Q9 is packed with cutting-edge technology and luxurious features. It boasts third-generation curved digital OLED rear lights, individual electric seats in the second row, power doors, and the largest panoramic sunroof ever fitted to an Audi. As expected from Audi, the Q9 comes with quattro all-wheel drive as standard, ensuring confident handling and traction in all conditions. The interior emphasizes elegance and space, with Audi stating that the Q9’s inner qualities speak louder than impressive performance data.

Audi CEO Gernot Döllner commented: “The Audi Q9 is the new flagship of the Audi portfolio.” Notably, the Q9 is the penultimate new model to feature Audi’s current design language. This design philosophy is being phased out in favour of a new minimalist approach called ‘Radical Next’, spearheaded by new design chief Massimo Frascella. The first model to adopt this new ethos will be the Nuvolari supercar, making the Q9 a significant transitional model for the brand.

With its commanding presence, advanced technology, and luxurious appointments, the Audi Q9 is poised to compete with other full-size luxury SUVs such as the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS. UK buyers can expect a vehicle that combines Audi’s renowned build quality with unprecedented space and comfort, making it an ideal choice for those seeking the ultimate in SUV luxury.
