Post

In a game that showcased offensive firepower and timely defensive stops, North Dakota defeated Indiana State 42-21 on October 18, 2025. The Sycamores kept it close early, cutting the deficit to seven with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Allen to Jaylan Johnson with 6:57 remaining in the first half. The second half saw North Dakota pull away. After completions to Caleb Goodloe helped move UND into Indiana State territory, Kaminski connected with Weir again, this time for a 39-yard touchdown, pushing the lead to 42-21 with 9:37 remaining. The Sycamores had one last chance, taking over at their own 11-yard line with 3:20 left, but UND’s defense slammed the door. Indiana State managed to reach their own 34 before four straight incompletions turned the ball over on downs with 1:52 remaining, sealing the victory for North Dakota.

Statistically, North Dakota dominated, amassing 520 total yards on 81 plays, while Indiana State managed just 314 yards. UND’s passing attack was efficient, throwing for 381 yards, compared to the Sycamores’ 270. The time of possession also favored North Dakota, who held the ball for 36:52, keeping Indiana State’s offense off the field.
