The charge could have carried a punishment of two to 10 years in prison, but Worthy has not posted bond and was released without charges being filed.
Despite the legal turmoil, Worthy is giving back to his community. The Fresno native partnered with Edison Youth Activities to have young Fresno boys design his cleats for the NFL’s ‘My Cause My Cleats’ initiative. The winner will be revealed in November, and Worthy will wear the custom cleats in December. This community involvement highlights his commitment to inspiring youth and making a positive impact beyond football.
