Father and Son Cycle Nearly 10,000 Miles to Visit Every MLB Ballpark and Raise Money for St. Jude

In a remarkable display of endurance and philanthropy, Scott Pesch and his son Ethan are embarking on a six-month cycling journey called Bike2Ballparks, aiming to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums across the United States and Canada while raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Starting March 26 in Seattle and concluding September 26 in Miami, the father-son duo will pedal a staggering 9,563 miles by bicycle, combining their passion for baseball with a mission to help children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

The idea for this epic adventure isn’t entirely new. Thirty-two years ago, Scott Pesch and a group of track-and-field friends from college took on a similar challenge: cycling across the United States to visit every MLB stadium. Now, Scott is revisiting that journey with his son, Ethan, turning it into a powerful fundraiser. Through Bike2Ballparks, they hope to support St. Jude’s innovative treatments, clinical trials, and global sharing of breakthroughs—giving more children the hope of beating cancer, enjoying childhood, and growing up healthy. “Through this cross-country cycling journey to every Major League Baseball stadium, we help fund innovative treatments, clinical trials, and global sharing of breakthroughs,” the riders explain on their website.

The journey is as much about baseball as it is about making a difference. From the iconic Fenway Park to the modern marvels like Globe Life Field, the Peschs will traverse diverse landscapes, endure varying weather conditions, and face the physical and mental toll of cycling an average of over 50 miles per day. Their route includes stops at all 30 stadiums, with the final leg ending in Miami on September 26, 2026—a date they’ve marked as “Journey Complete.” Along the way, they will raise awareness and funds for St. Jude, an organization that has helped countless families and revolutionized pediatric cancer research.

This inspiring endeavor has caught the attention of local news outlets like AZFamily, which highlighted the father-son team as “Something Good to celebrate.” As Scott and Ethan pedal from coast to coast, they embody the spirit of dedication and generosity
