Mammut Outdoor Brand: Swiss Heritage, Global Growth, and New Ownership

Post

Mammut, the iconic Swiss outdoor brand known for alpine performance and innovation, is entering a new chapter. The company, which has significantly expanded its global footprint, announced a change in ownership as it partners with CPE to accelerate its growth trajectory. While financial details remain undisclosed, the move signals a strategic shift for the brand, which will continue to be headquartered in Switzerland.

Under previous owner Jacobs Capital, Mammut built a strong, scalable, and globally integrated operational platform, laying the groundwork for further expansion. Today, over half of Mammut’s turnover comes from outside Europe, reflecting its successful internationalization. The new partnership with CPE aims to build on this momentum, with a focus on accelerating growth and strengthening the brand’s position in key markets worldwide.

In parallel, Mammut is making strides in sustainability and product innovation. The brand has achieved a major milestone by eliminating intentionally added PFAS from its entire collection, including apparel, footwear, sleeping bags, harnesses, backpacks, and accessories, starting from the Fall/Winter 2025/2026 season. This commitment is detailed in its latest Responsibility Report. Additionally, Mammut has collaborated with Female Engineering by Lindex to launch the Female Engineering + Mammut Period Panty, a performance underwear designed for active women, addressing real needs through science-led innovation.

As Mammut embarks on this new phase with CPE, it remains dedicated to its Swiss roots while pursuing global growth. The brand’s focus on sustainability, innovation, and performance continues to drive its evolution, ensuring it remains a trusted name for outdoor enthusiasts worldwide.
