The matches, held on June 4 and June 16, 2025, at Forthill and Titwood respectively, showcased the growing competitiveness of associate cricket. Nepal responded with 152/8 in their 20 overs, resulting in a tie. Aasif Sheikh top-scored with 38 off 47 balls, but Netherlands’ bowlers, led by Kyle Klein (2 wickets) and Roelof van der Merwe (1 wicket), kept the pressure on. The tied match highlighted the fine margins in associate cricket.
These results keep both teams in contention in the ICC CWC League 2 standings. Nepal’s ability to chase under pressure and Netherlands’ fighting spirit were on full display.
