Stephen Bear Jailed Again: 16 Months for Breaching Restraining Order
Disgraced reality TV star Stephen Bear has been sentenced to 16 months in prison for repeatedly breaching a restraining order that prohibited him from posting about his ex-girlfriend, Georgia Harrison MBE. The sentence, handed down today, comes after Bear ignored the court’s directive by sharing content about Harrison on social media. The original order was imposed when Bear was sentenced to 21 months in prison for filming and sharing a sex tape of Harrison on OnlyFans without her consent. The latest breach has led to immediate imprisonment, highlighting the seriousness with which the courts treat violations of protective orders.
During the sentencing, the judge extended the restraining order to also protect Harrison’s mother and her friend, ensuring they are shielded from any further contact or harassment from Bear. The new order will remain in place until a further order is imposed, replacing the previous one that was due to expire in March 2028. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) applied for this new order, emphasizing the ongoing threat Bear poses to Harrison and her loved ones.
Harrison, who bravely waived her legal right to anonymity in the original case, has spoken about the significant stress these breaches have caused her. She revealed that the ordeal has made her worry about her unborn child and has caused her to “spiral” on several occasions. Her statement underscores the emotional toll that such harassment takes on victims, even after a conviction. The court’s decision to impose a custodial sentence sends a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated.
This latest development comes as Bear had hinted at resuming his social media activity, stating, “Now I can post on social media, that was the main condition, watch this space.” However, his actions have now landed him back behind bars. The case serves as a stark reminder that restraining orders are legally binding and that breaching them carries severe consequences. For Harrison, this sentence brings a measure of justice and relief, allowing her to move forward without the constant fear of being targeted online.
