The National Hockey League has announced a major multi-year North American partnership with DoorDash, naming the delivery platform the Official On-Demand Delivery and Pick Up Partner of the NHL in Canada and the United States. The deal, revealed Thursday, aims to connect with hockey fans where they live—especially in Canada, where the game is a cultural cornerstone. “In Canada, hockey night is more than a game, it’s a family ritual and a way fandom gets passed from one generation to the next,” said Gina Igwe, Vice President of Brand, Creative, and Consumer Marketing at DoorDash. The partnership underscores the league’s push to integrate with everyday fan routines.

The collaboration will feature digital perks for fans and a significant physical presence at marquee NHL events. DoorDash plans to set up activations at the 2026 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic in Winnipeg on October 25, 2026, as well as the Discover NHL Winter Classic, the Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series, and throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs. These high-profile moments offer DoorDash a chance to engage millions of viewers, aligning its brand with the excitement of outdoor games and playoff drama. “For tens of millions of hockey fans across North America, every night is appointment viewing,” Igwe added, highlighting the natural fit between delivery convenience and game-night rituals.

Beyond the partnership news, the NHL continues to spotlight emerging talent. One prospect drawing attention is Caleb, described as an all-situations player who doesn’t shy away from physicality despite his slender frame. Relying on high hockey IQ to make plays, his high-compete level should help him become a top-six mainstay. As the league balances commercial growth with on-ice development, stories like Caleb’s remind fans that the future of the game is always brewing—whether on the ice or through innovative partnerships that bring hockey closer to home.
