Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is under fire after a dramatic arrest of a Honduran father in front of his children at a California surgical center. The incident, captured on video, shows staff at the Ontario Advanced Surgery Center, located about 30 miles east of Los Angeles, attempting to block ICE agents from arresting the man, identified as Correa-Sangucho. One staff member is heard telling a federal officer, “you don’t even have a warrant for him.” The tense scene unfolded on Tuesday, raising questions about ICE’s tactics and the treatment of undocumented immigrants with families.
According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Correa-Sangucho will remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings and will receive due process.
