The finals, held on August 8, 2026, were the culmination of a week-long competition that featured nearly 50 drum and bugle corps from across the globe. After a rigorous semi-final round on August 6, only 13 corps advanced to the finals, with the Bluecoats ultimately besting all challengers. The official results highlighted the Bluecoats’ dominance, as they topped the standings in all captions, including General Effect, Visual, and Music. Their total score of 99.0 was a testament to their exceptional artistry, precision, and emotional impact.
The 2026 DCI World Championships, held August 6-8, were part of a summer tour that included more than 80 events. Beyond the main competition, the week in Indianapolis featured the SoundSport International Music & Food Festival, where SoundSport and DrumLine Battle teams added a unique flair to the festivities.
