Apple Wallet Outage in the US: Users Face Connection Woes and Failed Transactions
In recent days, numerous users across the United States have reported difficulties connecting to Apple Wallet services, leading to failed transactions and pending transfers. One frustrated user recounted, “I sent Apple Cash, and while the money was deducted from my account, the receiver never received it.” Another echoed similar sentiments, stating, “I can finally get past the pinwheel to send, but then it times out after I do the face scan.” These issues have left many questioning the reliability of Apple’s payment ecosystem.
The problems extend beyond Apple Cash. Bank transfers between Apple Cash and linked bank accounts are also failing or remaining pending for affected users. An error message simply states that the service is not available, leaving customers in the dark about when they can expect a resolution. As of 10 p.m., Apple Pay remained unavailable for many users across the US, indicating a widespread outage.
Apple’s status page, which monitors 78 components across its services, uses four statuses: up, warn, down, and maintenance. During this incident, red down notifications have appeared, signaling critical system outages. In contrast, warn notifications are used for non-critical issues like minor service problems or performance degradation. Our platform, StatusGator, tracks every reported outage and maintenance window, and more than 1,400 users rely on us to stay informed about Apple Wallet’s status.
For those affected, it’s essential to stay updated through official channels and third-party monitoring services. While Apple has not yet provided a detailed explanation, the company typically resolves such issues promptly. In the meantime, users are advised to avoid critical transactions and keep an eye on the status page for updates. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide real-time notifications as the service stabilizes.
