Apple and Nvidia Each Donated $25 Million to Trump’s White House Ballroom Project

Some of the world’s biggest tech companies have quietly donated tens of millions of dollars toward the construction of President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom, and now we know exactly how much they gave. According to a new report from The Washington Post, Apple and Nvidia topped the list of donors to Trump’s ballroom project, each contributing $25 million to the president’s pet project. The two tech giants were among the top four donors overall, alongside the Adelson Family Foundation and Charles Ergen, the co-founder of Dish Network.

Confidential documents reveal that two of the world’s most valuable tech companies wrote identical checks to fund the new White House ballroom, and neither one issued a press release. The Post reports that an internal spreadsheet lists 67 major donors who collectively pledged about $333 million toward the project. Several other major technology companies also appear on the donor list, including Micron, Palantir, Salesforce, and Vast Space, although their reported commitments fall below Apple and Nvidia’s $25 million pledges. Those companies did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The newly disclosed figures provide a clearer picture of how much major technology companies have committed to the White House ballroom project, with Apple and Nvidia tied at the top of the corporate donor list. The real question is what each company expects to gain from their generous contributions. While the donations could be seen as a gesture of goodwill or a way to curry favor with the administration, they also raise concerns about the influence of money in politics and the potential for quid pro quo arrangements.

Neither Apple nor Nvidia has publicly commented on their donations, and it remains to be seen whether the companies will face any backlash from shareholders or the public. For now, the ballroom project continues to move forward, funded in part by some of the most powerful corporations in the world. As the Post notes, the donations were made quietly, without fanfare, leaving many to wonder what motivated these tech giants to open their wallets for a building that will bear the president’s name.
